ActBlue's pricing page describes fundraising features and support, and separately lists Field Tools and Website Builder. Its core offer is contribution processing for Democratic and progressive campaigns and organizations.[1]
NationBuilder's official pricing page describes an integrated people database, website with templates, email blasting, payment and donation processing, and events with ticketing across Starter, Pro and Enterprise plans; Pro adds custom fields, memberships, automations, geocoding, turf cutting, walk and call sheets, and autodistricting.[9]
ActBlue lists a standard 3.95% processing fee per contribution (Raise by ActBlue: 3.5% per transaction), with no subscription price on the page. NationBuilder lists Starter at $34/mo and Pro at $160/mo on annual billing plus contact-based capacity tiers and add-ons, and its support fee schedule (updated June 23, 2026) lists US card processing at 4.9% + 30¢ domestic on Starter, 3.9% + 30¢ on Pro and 2.9% + 30¢ on Enterprise. The total cost of each depends on volume, contacts and plan; no universal winner is established.[1][9][10]

Both vendors publish prices: ActBlue anchors on a per-contribution processing fee, NationBuilder on a subscription plus per-transaction processing. Which costs less depends on donation volume, contact count and plan, and neither vendor's page answers that for a specific campaign. BlueRoots' fictional demo is not evidence in this comparison.
